Yes, XLANCE® is chemically recyclable! Unlike traditional spandex, which cannot be chemically recycled, XLANCE®'s polyolefin-based structure allows for chemical separation and recycling, making it a more sustainable option in the textile industry.
We are excited to announce that we will introduce a bio-circular version in 2025. This innovative fiber will be produced from bio-circular waste, such as used cooking oil (UCO), helping to lower environmental impact and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.

Technical

Yes, XLANCE® can be blended with various materials, including thermosensitive fibers like wool and polypropylene. Its lower heat-setting temperature (120°C compared to 185°C for spandex) makes it particularly suitable for these blends, giving designers greater flexibility and creative freedom in fabric production.
XLANCE® is made from polyolefin, a material known for its durability and recyclability. It’s produced using a clean melt-extrusion process that doesn’t involve solvents, reducing environmental impact.
